These Reclaiming classes are offered by Bay Area Reclaiming teachers. A Reclaiming Class is any class taught by two or more teachers, at least one of whom is an acknowledged Reclaiming teacher.

Join us in sacred space as we bring to birth the myths of our own lives. Using ritual, visual arts, movement, spellwork, song, storytelling, and more, we invite our own personal and collective myths to emerge. Weaving our stories, we awaken our deep empowerment and guidance. Pre-requisite: Elements of Magic class or Witchcamp. Please plan to attend all six sessions, as the container for our work is an important part of this class. Let us know in advance if you'll need to miss a class. Meet us in the dark cabin in the woods! In this six week class, we will enter the story of Vasalisa, a Baltic fairy tale of a girl who meets a witch in the woods who challenges her to a number of tasks. What tasks are you challenged to do? Who are your allies? Are our allies always kind? We'll explore these questions and more, and connect with our own deep witchy selves. Pre-requisite - Elements of Magic or equivalent experience.

What is like to walk in the world seeing the divine in all other beings? What is it like to walk in the world, fully connected to sexual desire, to life force with that divine other? What is it like to connect with that desire and feel in full choice about action? There was a time when we knew the sacred arts of healing, celebration and devotion through sex. The ancients knew that sex, love and spirit are sacred aspects of all human beings. They knew that sexuality is part of our divine birthright. In our postmodern times, a primary challenge is to reclaim our sexuality, transforming and restoring it to a place of honor and sanctity. As Witch priest/esses, we know that sex is about more than the ability to procreate (miraculous though it be). It is also about our wondrous abilities to merge and separate again, to experience pleasure by ourselves, with one another, with the Mysterious Ones, with the green world and with others through out all the realms. Sex can bring us into deeper relationship with the whole of the multiverse. Using the tools of trance, movement, interactive exercises, journaling, baptism of petals, sacred cleansing and other techniques, we will strengthen our connection to Life Force. We will open to sexual growth and healing. We will dwell in our own sensuality. We will begin to gather back to ourselves those parts that we have lost or given away, daring to reclaim our sex and sexuality as essential components of our core being. We will have an opportunity to come face to face with our own desires and longings. And we will rejoice in our own physical beauty, celebrating our own glorious bodies. This weekend intensive will be challenging on a number of levels and willingness to participate fully is important -- however, please know that you will be at choice whether to sexually interact with another. It is a good thing for participants to have already begun to explore their own personal power and boundaries. It is essential that participants work from a place of respect, authenticity and personal responsibility and are comfortable with working skyclad in mixed groups. It is also good to remember that this is not work that we do once and then walk away. It is the work of a lifetime. All genders and orientations are welcome.

Why do Witches love Cauldrons? The Druids knew. Cauldron of Warming: bubbling brew of hearth & sex. Cauldron of Vocation: the will meets the heart, our work in the world. Cauldron of Knowledge: pathway to intuition and the Gods Come and explore the system of psyche and soul, developed by the ancient druids. Much like the chakra system, these cauldrons are a tool for insight into our physical, emotional and spiritual health, and a catalyst for healing. Using the familiar systems of the chakras and Iron pentacle as our starting point, we will integrate these systems with the cauldrons and make them our own. We will work with Brighid throughout the weekend, using music, sound, movement, nature and trance to guide us in our journey. Including Brighid's "9 Waves", an ancient blessing for the newly born. Class size minimum is 8. We must have 8 deposits by April 1 or the class will be canceled.

Sensing, opening, listening ... Rooting down... Nature as Tarot ... Becoming present... Becoming indigenous to the land we live upon... Becoming fluent in the languages of the plants and animals... Calibration... Devotion. In this class, based around the traditional Celtic elements of Earth, Sky, and Sea, we will be practicing the art and science of devotion to nature in a primal, immediate, intimate, holistic way. We will root down in order to fine tune our sensing, opening, and listening. We will study using the signs of nature as divination, with the whole of the forest and oceans as our tarot deck. We will reconnect to our indigenous selves: knowing the land where we make our homes; conversing with our plant, bird, and animal neighbors. This is a pathway of re-calibration to our most authentic inner and outer worlds, and birthing our magic and spellcrafting from that place. We will use bird-language, wind magic, herbalism, merry-making, incantations and prayers to the sea, and spontaneous group devotional practices with drumming, dance, and song. Join us for the third California Teen Earth Magic retreat, five days of deepening our relations with the Earth and with one another. We are also planning a Vermont camp August 14-18. Contact us for more info! Come together with other young people ages 13-25 who care about the world. Group building will be part of our work, and we hope to create lasting connections. The 2010 camp will also include a mentoring path for youth 19-25. We'll be doing tarot, habitat restoration, spellwork, composting, labyrinth rituals, singing and music, campfires.... The retreat was initiated by teachers from Witchlets in the Woods family camp, with the support of parents and site-owners. Teachers and organizers from several other Witchcamps (Winter, Free Activist, Vermont, and Loreley) are part of the 2009 team. We are keeping the sliding scale as low as possible ($99-399), and offer some scholarship and parent-work-trades. Basically, we want any teen who wants to attend to be able to join us. A Northern California Equinox Restorative and Retreat. In a Fools Journey, each year we work on a major arcana tarot card. Evening rituals will focus on that card, and how it relates to us. During the day, we restore, which may mean taking a class on using magical tools, dream work, or simply lounging by the pool while doing spa path. We invite participants to share their skills or passions, or relax as they wish. A deposit of $100 or more must be included with your registration. We are limited to 40 participants total.
